Yard Operative

Principal Objectives of Position:

To be responsible for organising material, handling stock and other assets in a manner which ensures operational efficiency and customer service, safety and security.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure that all stock movements are accurately and correctly documented.
  • To ensure that all stock and equipment is serviced, maintained and painted in accordance with a planned maintenance schedule, company safety and security policy.
  • To ensure that returns, including weekly stock returns, are completed accurately.
  • To ensure that all collections and deliveries are correctly checked and inspected including segregation of non-conforming equipment.
  • To be responsible for the security of all company assets within the Yard area.
  • To ensure safe stacking and storage of equipment in accordance with company policy and procedure.
  • To keep equipment in good condition, segregating repairable and scrap equipment.
  • To ensure safety and maintenance checks are carried out on machinery including a weekly check on the forklift.
  • To ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • To organise the yard and prepare for yard stock counts.
  • Such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.

PAY AND BENEFIT
Monday to Friday (7am – 5pm)
Weekend working may be required.
£8.72 – £10.00 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Contracts Manager (Fire Protection)

Principal Objectives of Position:

Due to continued expansion we are looking to fill the role of Contracts Manager.
Candidates should be dynamic and able to build and maintain an active sales pipeline to generate new business to agreed levels, lead project teams, manage and deliver multiple projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality from commencement to completion

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Passive Fire Protection 10+ Years
  • Contracts Management 10+ Years
  • Identifying new business opportunities to increase revenue
  • Confidence in communication with telephone, video conferencing and face to face meetings
  • Liaison with main contactors and clients
  • Reading and accurately interpreting contract drawings and technical specifications
  • Programming and managing teams of operatives
  • Measuring and ordering materials
  • Control of site costs and quality
  • Contract reporting
  • IT including Word and Excel
  • UK Driving Licence (essential to be willing to travel)
